Meet Kelly

Kelly Butcher, M. Ed.

Like a lot of professional organizers, I have been organizing all of my life. When I was a young girl, I spent many hours sorting and categorizing my books, games, and tea set collections. My passion for organizing and for everything to have a “place” grew as time went on. I organized my mother’s pantry, linen closet, and the bedroom I shared with my sister. After I had children, I frequently organized their bedrooms and taught them how to organize as they grew. When I decided to start my own business, I made a list of special skills I possess and activities I enjoy doing. Organizing and teaching were at the top of my list. Starting a professional organizing business seemed like the logical next step for combining my organizing skills with my love of teaching, thus, Simplification Services was created.

I understand how overwhelming and demanding life can be as we try to juggle our personal and professional lives. As a professional organizer, I help people gain control of their possessions, time, and responsibilities so that they are able to do the things they enjoy doing in a stress-free environment.

In my professional life, I have been responsible for setting up and maintaining filing systems, creating user manuals and records retention guidelines, and implementing software modifications management systems. I have worked with a wide range of individuals ranging from Vice-Presidents of major corporations, customer service personnel and even 4th graders in previous jobs as a computer systems analyst and elementary school teacher.

I am a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and the past two-term Secretary for the NAPO-Austin chapter. I am a Clear & Simple, Inc. certified professional organizer. I have a passion for helping others and value the one-on-one interaction between teacher and student. I am compassionate and empathetic to others’ situations. My goal is to simplify my clients’ lives by creating customized, manageable systems to fit their particular needs.

Home Office

Kelly Butcher’s Simplification process was a tremendous, much needed help to us in reorganizing our home offices. She was professional & patient in laying out goals. My husband & I were grateful for Kelly’s system to help with the overwhelming amount of sorting that we needed to get done together. The on-site organizational aides – especially the incoming file – were really good. Plus, Kelly was good about helping us get old checks shredded, which saved us time & travel.
