5 Easy Ways to Improve Your Facebook Ads Campaigns

July 25, 2016 By Kelly Butcher Leave a Comment

Improve your Facebook ad campaigns

Facebook Ads offers an effective way for small businesses to promote their products and services on the world’s largest social media network. While you can always use a Facebook Page for promotion, this self-serving ad platform offers significantly greater reach. So if you’re looking to capitalize on Facebook Ads, keep reading for some helpful tips and tricks on how to improve your campaigns.

Split Test Multiple Ads

As with most self-serving online advertising platforms, split testing is critical to running a successful Facebook Ads campaign. Even if your current ad is generating a positive return on investment (ROI), chances are you can optimize it for even higher conversions and lower ad costs. Try to get into the habit of creating at least two different ads, allowing them to run side by side. After a week or so, delete the underperforming ad and replace it with a new one.

Use the Power Editor

If you really want to maximize the potential of your Facebook Ads’ campaigns, use the social media giant’s Power Editor to create ads. As explained in this article published on SocialMediaExaminer, the Power Editor allows advertisers to create Facebook Ads with a headline greater than the default maximum of 25 characters. And when you’re able to include more characters in your headline, you can differentiate your ads from competitors; thus, improving your ads’ visibility on the social media network.

Include Images

Although optional, including images in your Facebook Ads will have a positive effect on your click-through rate (CTR) and subsequent conversions. You can even include text – assuming it’s less than 20% of the entire image – to further connect with your target audience.

Reinforce Your Brand

Facebook Ads isn’t only useful for generating sales and conversions; it’s also useful for reinforcing a company’s brand recognition. Be sure to mention your brand at least once in your ad copy. So even if a user doesn’t click you ad and proceed through the conversion process, he or she will still see your brand name.

Narrow Targeting

Arguably, one of the most effective ways to increase your Facebook Ads ROI is to target a narrow demographic of users. The more narrow your targeting, the higher your conversions – at least, that’s how it usually works. Thing about who normally buys your products or services and target this demographic in Facebook Ads.
