Write for each stage of the buyer’s journey
Think about what prospects search for in Google when they’re in different stages of their journey to buy. By including words that are often used in these stages, you increase the chance that your site shows up in their searches.
For example:
Awareness Stage:
When a person is first aware of their problem and looking for a solution, they search for general information with words like “what,” “who,” and “how to,” as well as “guide” or “tutorial.”
Consideration Stage:
In this stage, a prospect is more aware of the solutions available and starts narrowing down on brands or service providers. When searching, they use words like “best,” “cheapest,” “top,” and “review.” They might also search for names of products/services, brands, or companies.
Decision Stage:
This is the final stage—when a prospect is ready to buy. Searches in this stage might include words like “price,” “buy,” “coupon,” or “promo code.”
