How Does Simplification Services Claim and Optimize my Business Listing?

May 1, 2013 By Kelly Butcher Leave a Comment

Have you claimed and optimized your business listings on the top three search engines:  Google, Bing and Yahoo?  If not, I may be able to help.

The first step is to contact Kelly Butcher at 512-779-5626.  I will conduct an “audit” of your current business listings and let you know if your business listing has already been claimed and optimized.  You would be surprised to know that sometimes this has already be done and the business owner is not even aware of it.  In some cases, corporate offices will take care of this task for you if you are a franchise owner or you operate a “satellite” office.

If your listing has not been claimed and optimized and you would like to use Simplification Services to complete the task for you, we will complete an “Online Business Listing Profile” where I will be able to gather the information necessary to optimize your listing.  I will be able to obtain most of the information from your website, but may need to discuss keywords with you and have images e-mailed to me.

Then, I will setup the necessary login details and profiles with the pertinent business information.  We will then have to wait for some type of verification process to take place.  Usually, a letter or postcard will be mailed to your business address with a pin number that will be needed to complete the verification process.  Once the pin number has been entered or other verification has taken place, I will be able to complete the optimization of the listing.  The entire process may take up to 6 weeks to complete depending on how quickly the information is entered into the system, the speed in which additional information such as images are sent to me, the verification process, and the time it takes for the listings to be crawled by the search engines.

FAQs:

  1. Do the search engines charge for the optimization process?  Not at this time.
  2. Is it necessary to hire someone to claim and optimize the listings for me?  No, it’s not necessary, but the process can be time-consuming and it doesn’t always proceed smoothly.    You will need to consider if it’s worth your time to complete the process or hire someone to do it for you.

If you’d like to boost your online presence, drive traffic to your website or have any questions about the process, please contact me at 512-779-5626 or by e-mail at Kelly@SimplificationServices.com.
