Internet Marketing: How to Drive Traffic to Your Website

January 23, 2014 By Kelly Butcher Leave a Comment

My definition of internet marketing refers to the delivery of promotional material via the internet to increase direct sales of goods and services both on and offline. Internet marketing includes email marketing, search engine marketing, social media marketing, and web marketing.

My services focus on social media marketing, search engine marketing , email marketing and blogging.

Social Media Marketing consists of utilizing social media networks to create a community of followers, offering valuable information to the community, building relationships and creating trust, with the end result of driving traffic to the company website to increase sales.

Search Engine Marketing is the process of obtaining traffic and gaining visibility to your website via search engines, mainly Google, Bing and Yahoo! We specialize in Local SEO (Search Engine Optimization) which consists of claiming and optimizing business listings through the Google, Bing and Yahoo! Local online directories. This entails providing complete, accurate, and relevant information to the listing. The listing may be further customized to include store hours, photos, and in some cases, specific descriptions or keywords to set the business apart from competitors.

Email marketing consists of advertising and promotional marketing efforts via an e-mail messaging campaign to current and prospective customers. We can setup a new system for email campaigns or revamp a current system that isn’t utilized effectively.

Blogging consists of current and relevant content posted to a website which is displayed in reverse chronological order. Social relationships may be developed with readers and other bloggers via comments posted to the blog. Blogging helps tremendously with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) because each post is its own page and contributes to online visibility. Blogging also helps to establish the blogger as an expert in their industry. We can setup a blog on a current WordPress site and upload and optimize blog posts to the site on a consistent basis (content provided by the client). This is a great article on blogging for SEO and how blogging may increase sales: http://www.amyporterfield.com/2013/01/blogging-for-seo-how-to-write-blog-posts-that-rank-well/.
